DAY 140 Me & The Bear

Good Morning Journal & Friends,

This big black bear lives at the Wildlife Images animal rescue facility in Grants Pass, Oregon. Jim took this photo in the fall. He looks so... ready to hibernate!

That's how I feel now. But, the busyness of the holidays is about over, and I'm ready to get back to business as usual. A New Year soon, new short term goals, new enthusiasm.

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

"Ready to get back to business as usual" Ain't it the truth! I'm actually looking forward to a normal day tomorrow and housecleaning! Something's wrong with that I think... chuckle.

I have all year to figure out a different way to celebrate Christmas--joyful and enjoyable, butrejuvenating rather than exhausting,
peace-filled rather than hectic. I am convinced that it can be done.

I am grateful for the good times we had, tho, and glad that you also enjoyed Christmas! I guess it is an unexpected blessing to have a new appreciation for ordinary life and ordinary food. So, it's all good! :)

Onward and forward to a healthy, "We're gonna get this weight off!" new year!

Hi Deb,
Looking forward to an ordinary day... housecleaning...

What is alarming is.. I know what you mean!! LOL!
I guess that's not such a bad thing, to celebrate an Ordinary life. :-)

Here's to an ordinary--yet extraordinary in terms of our goals--2010!

Oh girl, I am SOOO looking forward to the new year and to have some normalcy back in my life. Unfortunately, that will not be happening until next Monday for me but I am ready for it!

Lets rock 2010!!!!

I, too, am sooo ready. And, there's one more to go. Aaaa! LOL

I was cleaning out my workout dvds. There are three I mean to pass on: Industrial Dance [dance aerobics - it's not too hard - I need more of a workout than it offers though - Richard Simmons is more heart-pounding - kind of fun, different], Biggest Loser's Powersculpt [pretty good, I still use some of the exercises from Jillian's segment in strength training - however, in toto, it's more like drudgery than fun to me] and Power Yoga. I dubbed him yoga torturer. In the early days, down dog about killed me. My upper body was not ready for it [my arm issues] and he, in general, kind of scares me. I have other yoga dvds I use.

But, since I enjoy the Richard you sent me so much, I feel obliged to offer to you first if you are interested in any of them.

I hope the scale is gracing you with some encouragement this week.

KIM: I feel the same way, I'm so ready for a fresh year and fresh start. :-D

MARY: Oh, that's so nice of you! But it sounds like those workouts would be over my head still, so maybe someone else would be a better choice. But thank you for thinking of me. : -)

Ah, that scale! Well, at least it didn't go berserk. LOL!
On to a New Year!
