DAY 341 Friday Favorite & Warrior Poses!

Time for another edition of Friday Favorites!


Back in June I did a review of my favorite Chair Boxing DVD (HERE). 

This week, I've been doing Chair Yoga, and I LOVE IT!!!


I've heard so many people talk about how much they enjoy yoga, and since I can't get up and down off the floor, I didn't think I'd ever get to find out why. Well, now I know!

This DVD is from the Aerobics for Everyone DVD series. They have several kinds, like: 
Chair Boxing 
Chair Salsa
Chair Tai Chi
Chair Bellydance

And a couple others... I bought mine HERE.

Back to the Yoga. Believe it or not, the gal leading the yoga gets the whole body involved. The music is gentle and soothing, she is very quiet and likeable, and the whole routine is 34 minutes long. I think it's probably more in the beginner level. 


There were a couple of poses that I modified, since I can't twist my knees much, but I could do most of the rest. My favorites were the Warrior Poses.

Honestly, when I was finished last time, I was smiling and felt like I had been hugged! It was wonderful. I finally GET IT why so many people like yoga. 

I realize most folks can get up and down off the floor... but if for some reason you can't, and you would like a refreshing, calming and "happy" workout, I highly recommend this DVD, Chair Yoga.

I always think of yoga as something I cant do, but you know...I should give it another try. It might be really relaxing. Good job! Belly dancing sounds fun too! :)

Yay for you Loretta! I love Warrior Pose too. I am so glad you are enjoying the yoga.

To anyone else out there who thinks they can't do it, I am 275 pounds and I rock the mat!!!

I love Yoga too ..Im glad you have so much variety. Now If I could figure out how to get the dvd working..my hubby has too much geek geer and I can't remember how to set it all up. When I started taking classes I was around 310lbs and I started with a chair class that was a combo of aerobics and yoga...oh my gosh...it was tough!

chair yoga! what a great idea! I like yoga, used to do it regularly and havent for a while, I probably should do it again.
