DAY 173 Perfect 10 Update & Where's My Dinosaur?

Hello Journal & Friends!

It's that time again... the weekly update for the Perfect 10 Challenge (here).

My goal was to exercise 6 days per week, 3 days with a DVD, and 4 times on my rebounder.

Did I do it?? Oh yeah. I did it. Barely. A couple of times begrudgingly. Once half asleep, I think. But I did it. Yesterday I was sooo wishing I had a legitimate excuse to skip it! I saw this sign yesterday and thought, that's me, I need a dinosaur!!

And that is exactly why I signed up for this challenge. I know me... and making that commitment would force me to do it, even on days I wanted to make an excuse. So I give a big Thank You to Steve, at South Beach Steve, for starting this Challenge.

Now for the random fact about myself you don't know... caution to all you foodies, clean eaters and health nuts... you might want to skip this next part... it's gonna get ugly...

I love SPAM!!

Crispy fried spam, cold spam, spam and eggs, left over spam, right out of the can spam... sorry, I'm hopeless. We had it as kids, and that ruined me for life. I don't have it too often, due to the sodium... but I DO have it. Not only does hot crispy fried spam taste wonderful to me, it brings back memories of Momma cooking it for us. :-)

Don't wanna eat it? How's about Spam Sculpture... mwa ha ha ha ha:

From Dr Phil's book: "Allowing emotionality to lord it over your behavior will cause you to fail."

My verse for today: "The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one."

My quote for today: "Every now and then, dig deeper. Remind yourself why you desire what you desire." --Ralph Marston

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

I look forward to it. I have lots of reading to do between you and Debbie...lol....but I love it.

LOLOLOL!!!! I love span, too. You do know that there is a low sodium version, right? chuckle.

I like it fried crispy and with tomatoes and mayo on white (yes, white) bread. Like you, it's been years, and I fear it will be years more. Loved the sculpture, too. Although... maybe I'll check out what they think is low sodium....ahahaha

ohooooo...guck.
spam lol.
lololol.
wow.
stomach of steel woman, you have a stomach of steel.
You'd be good in a crisis.
I would rather eat tree bark....willow bark can make a really good tea.
In fact, I think watching how spam is made and then eating it is one of the things I would rather do than regain my weight.
So, applause from the peanut gallery. You are a stronger woman than I.

STEVE: A fellow Spamite! :-) I talked myself into it, and had crispy fried spam for dinner tonite!

DEBI: Welcome, Debi. I look forward to getting to know you.

DEB: Wow, we need to start a Spam Club, LOL! I had my crispy fried spam tonight with eggs. My "not too often" is about once month. Mmmmm.

CHRIS: Aww, you are missing out. I guess you had to be inoculated with it growing up to really love it now.

NANCY: Yep, one serving of 2 oz is only 1 carb. See, another reason to love Spam!

I may be the odd one out, I can pass up spam, but bacon that is an entirely different story. You are doing great with your goals. Keep up the good work! Here's to a healthy week ahead!

Wow - I think you're the first Spam eater I know of. Obviously there are others, given your comments. Hmmm, now I wonder if there are closet spammers in my life! I may post a controversial food love next week, ala Loretta. Thanks for the great idea!

Way to rock the exercise. You're doing great. I really like your blog voice!

Sometimes I need a dinosaur, too. I think most folks do. :)

I always say, Any show could be made better with giant, man-eating reptiles. lol

You know, I don't think I've ever eaten Spam. I saw that Bizarre Foods dude eating it and thought it looked pretty tasty. I didn't get what his problem was after eating a banquet of man parts.
