DAY 507 Day of Rest & Remember This Later

Hi there Journal & Friends,

Sir Winston Churchill has long been a favorite of mine. Did you know he was also an artist?

Anyway, he led his country during it's most darkest hours during WW II. He was a figure the British people leaned on, drew strength from... and he was like iron. I admire him greatly.

Right now, those of you just starting are flying high on the newness, that initial burst of enthusiasm. And that's great!

But later when the honeymoon is over... weeks for some of you, months for others, please remember this little poster.

Make it your own. Claim it. Joyful declare it! Be like Sir Winston Churchill, and set your face like flint towards your goal.

Regardless of the attacks on you... regardless of opposition... regardless of the circumstances... regardless of how you might feel... NEVER QUIT.

You may need to stop and reassess... you may take a detour or have a setback... you make need to make course corrections... you may need to discover that missing key component... you may need to pick yourself up from having fallen FLAT on your face!

I have done all of those.

But the one promise I made to myself, that I have allowed NO ONE or NO CIRCUMSTANCE to steal from me is:

I WILL NEVER QUIT.
I WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

Trust me, you will thank yourself later, LOL!
(Have you seen that t-shirt: trust me, I'm a blogger? Mwa ha ha ha)

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

Love this, Loretta. It is so true.

As you know, I've had a pretty significant setback when I caved in to psychological baggage. BUT God grace is never-ending--and tho we fall, we shall arise--as long as we never, never quit.

I did a s010 review for my post today, and I'm standing i 2011 now. Moving forward. Not quitting. Holding His hand.

We're gonna do this thing!

Resiliency and perseverance are two of the most important tools in sustained weight loss. The food itself is really secondary to all the inner work.

I believe that about NOT GIVING UP wholeheartedly. Totally. I think hanging on (weightwise) is the best we can do, not giving up, until we get a second wind. Just hold on and don't give ground until strength returns or the light comes on.

I hope 2011 is very healthful for all of us and we can see next year in bodies that are slimmer, stronger, and higher self-confidence and self-esteem.

Persistence, perseverance, and hope. Key things for all ding something difficult like transforming our eating/bodies.

God helps us all with much grace.

Happy New Year, Loretta. I'm cheering you on in mostly lurker status.

Ah, echoed by Jason Nesmith - Never surrender. Never give up.

Some days it is my mantra. Keep the good fight, Retta. :D
