Hi Journal & Friends,
True humility is not meek and mild.
It is not shy, timid and apologetic.
This is just my opinion, of course. You have NEVER heard me pontificate on my blog about humility, how I achieved it, and how proud I am of it. Ha ha ha... And you never will. That's one book I'm not qualified to write! ;-)
I think humility is a powerful thing, able to just get on with business, and not get all hung up with it's own flaws. No one will ever be "humble enough". We all have shortcomings we can work on. So I don't worry about it. I accept that I will always need work in the humble vs pride department, and just get on with the adventure that is Life.

The adventure of finding my real, authentic self. Of being the person I was meant to be... not hiding in the corner because I am ashamed of how I look. I did that too many years. I allowed the judgements of others, and my own shame, to keep me quiet and timid. Not going after Life with boldness!
To go after our dreams and goals takes guts, belief, determination, boldness!
I want to be Bold now. I want to live fully and colorfully. Deeply and intentionally. Choosing how I will spend the coin that is my life, my time.
Aha! I know what my letter B will stand for, in next weeks Toon Tuesday doodle. :-)
From Dr Phil's book: "Require more of yourself."
My verse for today: "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."
My quote for today: "Be bold. When you embark for strange places, don't leave any of yourself safely on shore. Have the nerve to go into unexplored territory." --Alan Alda

Excellent! Shout it out, Loretta. Stand up. There's no reason to be ashamed and in the corner. There are people out there who will accept you no matter what. :)

I have been catching up on blogs tonight and am reading quite a bit about shame and allowing the shame to stop us from really living. Lovely post Loretta. Thank you - it came at a good time...:-)
