DAY 360 Working & Playing Like A Dog

Hi Journal & Friends,

It's hot! Jim is on vacation all this week... I had the BRILLIANT idea to start a challenge this week... and we've been working like dogs getting ready for our Yard Sale THIS Friday and Saturday. Yikes!! Whose bright idea was all this???!

But really, so many people have blogged recently about decluttering, that I think I must've been bitten by the bug... cuz I am going throughout the house ruthlessly.

If "It" can't convince me that I need It or that It's beautiful, then off with It's head. Or rather, on with a price sticker!

I'm excited to be getting rid of so much junk. It's hard work, but it feels great. And I already called dibs on the profits from the sale. I know what I'm gonna buy. (Hint: can't EVER have too many art supplies!) :-D

Speaking of working like a dog... we saw a fun Dog Show at the Fair. Since I need to hurry and get back to working like a dog, I'll just leave you with doggie pics from the Fair. ;-)

All of these showdogs were rescued animals, and it's clear they adore him and were having a blast. I know you are just sooooo excited about yet MORE Fair pics... mwa ha ha ha ha!

Here is Galaxy:

And this is Holiday:

And Sky:

They were so excited and could hardly wait to chase flying frisbees:

This is Peekaboo, a younger, trusting member of the troupe:

Peekaboo wanted up, too!

Well, back to workin like a dog. It'll be worth it... I keep telling myself that! LOL!

I also remind myself that LAST year I couldn't have physically done it. I didn't have the stamina or energy or even the "want to". It's nice to have a choice!

From Dr Phil's book: "By changing the way you think, you can change the way you feel and act."

My verse for today: "The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!"

My quote for today: "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." --William Morris

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

Yahoo for getting rid of clutter and making money. Whatever you do, don't try to buy back any of your own things. :-)

Lots of cute doggies!

I kept thinking about the challenge for August and decided that with my vacation coming up, there wasn't one thing I could do consistently every day. Being away from home leave too much room for failure...but I am going to try and plan to eat at least one fruit every day.

Happy working Loretta!

I gotta have one of those "work-like-a-dog" garage sales. My wife loves going to them... we need to have one ourselves.

Good luck with your yard sale, I have stuff separated for a yard sale but I dont think its enough so now its just sitting there. If we dont sell it by the end of summer, I will donate it.

Awwwwww!!!! Love the dog pics!! That's neat. THanks for sharing!! Decluttering is always a great idea. I decluttered recently, too, and I feel so much better. Right now I'm trying to organize more. Fun! Having less junk makes life feel more peaceful. Also, the act of decluttering is sort of peaceful in itself. I hope the yrad sale is a hit! Rambo and I had a sale a few weeks ago. It was hard to keep him occupied and happy!
