DAY 62 A Blast from the Past

Day 62 of ReStart,  Saturday  Oct 10, 09

Good Morning Journal!

Today I received a message from the past...a weird time-travel type experience. I happened to open up a file dated 2005...four years ago. This file was titled "Random Thought on Lessons Learned This Year"

Here is what the "me" from 2005 wrote:

--Patience...ahhhh...Patience.  I need to gently but firmly tame that tiger that demands instant results. I will not feed it by wishing and dreaming for immediate results. Rather, I will take pride in the little accomplishments,  progress in modest measures.

--I will not compare myself to others, but be proud of myself for doing my honest best, given my circumstances. I will require more of myself, and know that in due time, the results will come. I started this journey at 460 lbs. I am now down to 398. How long will it take to reach my goal?? It will take as long as it takes, and that is alright.

Considering what I JUST wrote yesterday, this is just all toooo coincidental! (cue Twilight Zone music here...)

I guess I had better listen to this former Me that thought she had learned something about patience and not comparing herself to others...she must know more than I do!

From Dr Phil's book: "Be willing to challenge every behavior pattern."

My verse for today: "Come near to God and he will come near to you."

My quote for today: "It's what you learn after you know it all that counts."--Harry S. Truman

Enjoy the Journey,

yeah but this time you have experience under your belt. I say things that I have a deja vu experience remembering I said it before, but I always then think, but this time, its completely different.

Hi Nancy,
I think you are right...we have gained more experience and now can make better use of! Actually, I am kinda of excited to have realized what I was doing wrong, and getting back on track. It's a relief, and the stress is gone. :-)
