Hi there, Journal & Friends,
I'm finally getting around to continuing with my answers for the Honest Scrap Award, given to me decades ago by Chris at A Deliberate Life, and Karen at Fitness: A Journey Not a Destination.
I'm up to question number 7, out of 10. So, here goes:
7. Best Moment of Revenge
Actually, I'm not proud of this memory, but it's the only thing that came to mind!
It happened in High school. One day my sister, Karen, borrowed a pair of my shoes without asking me first. I saw her wearing them on campus, and demanded she take them off! She had to walk barefoot to get her gym shoes out of her locker. It was a mean and selfish thing to do to your own sister. I was a very self-absorbed teenager, to say the least.
We had a lot of fights growing up, especially because we almost always had to share a room. Once, I was so snotty that I put masking tape down the middle of the floor of our bedroom and threatened her if she crossed the line to my side!!
But fortunately for me, she has that wonderful personality type that knows how to forgive. Today, I am so happy to say that my sister, Karen, and I are the best of friends. :-)

From Dr Phil's book: "Every success or failure you will have flows from that self-determined personal truth."
My verse for today: "It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night."
My quote for today: "If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive." --Mother Teresa
Enjoy the Journey,
Loretta

Aww, look how sweet the two of you are.
My sister and i used to beat the crap out of each other when we were kids. LOL We turned out to be friends, too.
Hi Loretta,
Very nice post. Great Memories..even the not so good ones are a road map to who you are today.
BTW...I love...LOVE the picture you have on your sidebar. So very nice. ;)
Aww, how cute are you two! Fun memory. :) Haha, I bet you were a real firecracker of a kid, Loretta!
I have actual scars from my 'little' sis. We get along well enough now. The day she stopped picking on me was AWESOME. I always got back at her with words. It feels good to be nice now!
My mom did the same thing with the masking tape to one of her sisters. They briefly got along as adults, but now they rarely speak. Siblings really are a funny thing.
My sister use to declare 5 minute fights. This resulted with me staring at the clock waiting for the number to turn on the old clock radio dial while being pummeled.
Ahh good times. Sisters are the best.
Love the matching dresses toooooo cute.
my big brother and I took turns knocking out each others front baby teeth. What Horrible little brats we were..lol.
Ah, such is the stuff of childhood.
Bet you all laugh about that stuff now.
love your post.
I love the pics of you and your sister!
That's funny about you and your sister. My sister and I were EXACTLY the same. We shared a room and she did put masking tape down the middle. I used to torment her a LOT (she is two years younger than me). I was the wilder of us two. She was perfectly tidy and neat, I was messy and unorganized - she HATED IT!! I used to move things on her side of the room - just an inch or two and she knew. Drove her nuts.
We were not friends much growing up but we are best friends now. She is a big part of my life....
