APRIL 4th Believing It Can Be Done

Hi Journal & Friends,

Sometimes I get tired of this journey, and need a lift. I stumbled on this video today from Margene, at Believing It's Possible Is Half The Battle.

It reminded me I am not alone on this quest, and touched my heart deeply. And it gave me that lift.

Thank you, Margene, for sharing your amazing journey with others.

From Dr Phil's book: "What is true about you in your mind, you will live."

My verse for today:  "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry."

My quote for today: "Be more kind than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

I loved Margene's video. It shows that weight loss can happen when one is determined and consistent. She gives me hope.

And, yes. The struggle gets tiresome, the journey hard, the soul weary. And I think we're about to get a second wind!

The "Anonymous" quote. I like that version best. For some reason, I know the actual quotes it came from! I don't know how in that I'm not particularly well-read.

PLATO said, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."

JAMES M. BARRIE wrote, "Always be kinder than necessary."

I guess I liked these two quotes, because if I have learned anything on my way to 60 years old, it is what Plato said. And the quote by Barrie is one thing I am determined to accomplish on a daily basis--and don't. Putting these two quotes together is perfect!

Well. I jsut wrote a post. Do you charge rent for you space? :D

Thanks for reminding me of truths I too easily forget.

DEB: Oh! I love to read the stories behind quotes. I had no idea of this one, thanks so much for that. And I really like it, too, how someone combined both into a "superquote", ha ha ha.

How nice to see such a wonderful success story. It is amazing how much younger everyone who loses significant weight gets to looking. And nice to see a good story in pictures- love that. Thanks for sharing this.

No, you're not alone.

That you keep searching is a good sign. You will find your way. This is what the middle road is like.

I, too, lost about 100 lbs and have kept it off. So, believe. I didn't believe I could wear the same sized clothes for 3 years and counting. I believe it now.

With the observatory opening in 1.5 months, I'm more motivated than ever to get at my workouts. The one thing I'm finding hard to believe, is how hard it's snowing out right now. :)

Keep going, Lorettta.
