DAY 310 Letting Go of Another Fear

Hi there, Journal & Friends,

I think I figured it out. I've been thinking of making some changes to my Time and Priorities. And wouldn't ya know, in the last couple of days I've read similar ideas on 3 different blogs.

There are only so many hours in the day, and in order for me to accomplish my goals in regards to my Art, I need to set a Cap on my computer time... and... duh... stick to it this time!!

I had to be honest with myself as to why I've been fighting this... and the answer surprised me. I THOUGHT it was just that I enjoyed it so much, reading blogs and interacting with my new Bloggy friends, learning so much from them, not feeling alone on this journey. And that  keeping my commitment to post daily has helped me with focus. But... there was more to it.

There was... fear. That word again. Writing my blog, and learning from others on this journey, and connecting with like-minded friends online has helped me SO MUCH... you have no idea how much, and how grateful I am for that. Yet, it is time-consuming.

I was afraid that if I cut back my computer time it might affect my journey... that I might bomb out, and this time would end up like all my past attempts... another failure. I am as surprised at that as anyone! But I am being honest, and... there it is.

But I have to remember it is a CHOICE. Feelings aren't facts.

Just because I "feel" afraid to put a cap on my computer time, does not mean it will be a negative. In fact, in my Mind I know it will give me the needed time to pursue my goals and passion! The whole reason to GET healthy is to LIVE my life, and become the person I was meant to be... so this is one more step in a healthy direction! :-)

Pursuing my passions in life will fuel the fires of my determination and energy to get healthy... will give me a REASON to make those right choices each day... to live with purpose and passion, to be the person God created me to be.

From Dr Phil's book: "Evaluate each and every option in your life against the priority of your goals."

My verse for today: "For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?"

My quote for today: "Fulfillment of your authentic purpose is worth every effort. Never settle for less from yourself than the absolute best you can be." --Ralph Marston

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

I've had a hard time keeping up with all of my bloggy friends, myself, lately. I know I had a crunch time at income tax time, too.

I think what it actually is for me, is that I'm spending more time outside. That time does count in the 24 hours a day I'm allotted. chuckle.

An hour on the deck in the evening. an hour walking. 30 minutes standing outside talking to a neighbor. It adds up.

In the winter those 2 and 1/2 hours are INSIDE hours--and probably some of that time is spent on the computer.

Summer doesn't make the house clean itself or the clothes wash themselves or the budget... Well, you know.

Anyway, I've been considering my own time use changes. Plus I have some heavy duty cleaning to do becasue I have new bedroom furniture and dining room furniture coming. good news! but big work. and time.

Yep. Time management takes on a new wrinkle in the summer, I think.

We'll figure it out.

It may seem scary, but I have no doubt you'll be glad you did down the road. :)

You go girl! We'll be here cheering you on. Just like on the airplane you have to put your mask on first before you can help others. Take care of you! We'll cheer you on like you've cheered us on. I appreciate you so much. Balance is the hardest part in thus walk. Always choose that which fills your heart. Then you'll have enough for the rest on your list.

Great points Deb
