DAY 302 Here We Go Again

Hi Journal & Friends,

It's happened again! That weird and wonderful experience of hearing the same message from several different sources. I've learned to sit up and take notice!

It all started with that excellent post from Chris, titled "Wholehearted" (HERE).

Then, I was at the site of one of my favorite artists, Robert Burridge (HERE to see some of his paintings)  and read this:

Don't paint with the brakes on!

He also wrote:

"It is said, "Your heart doesn't know how old you are." For me, it's true. Painting everyday in my small studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean, I feel like a kid again playing with color, design, paint and canvas, which reminds me of the saying, "It's never too late to be what you always should have been." Follow your bliss!"

And lastly, on Saturday Stacia (HERE)  posted that hilarious and engergizing video that I talked about yesterday, showcasing the amazing talents and enthusiasm of The Mad Drummer! (HERE)

I gave a preview in yesterday's post... the message to me was:

To live WHOLEHEARTEDLY
To live BOLDLY
To live ENTHUSIASTICALLY
To live JOYFULLY

Thanks to something PJ said (HERE)  I realized that I, too, was sort of coasting towards the end of The Spring Challenge... kind of ready for it to be over. I wasn't giving it my all! By the way, if I ever invent another challenge, kick me if I make it 13 weeks long!!

The more I thought about it, the more I began to realize that I had let some of that enthusiasm for this overall journey slip... to lose some of that freshness. It occurred to me that in a couple of months, I will be celebrating my 1 year Blog-a-versary. Yet really, I've been on this journey to wellness for a looonnnnggg time before that!

Enthusiasm, joy, boldness... these aren't rooted just in circumstances. They originate from within!

So that is what I am working on...  BOLDLY continuing on WHOLEHEARTEDLY, with JOY and ENTHUSIASM... I wonder if that will burn more calories??

From Dr Phil's book: "Have the willingness and courage to throw off your past, go after your weight-control goals, and pursue a life that is defined as healthy and fit."

My verse for today: "The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!"

My quote for today: "Enthusiasm is the steam that drives the engine." --Napoleon Hill

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta
=^..^=

That internal bliss propels a plethora of things. Honest. Live lit up. Find a way to do so. I'm not lying when I say it is everything. I don't know if I'd be maintaining otherwise or going after what I want. DO IT! It's never too late and don't wait. The sooner you find it, the more it will help you in everything else.

Your posts are always so thoughtful. I can't believe I've only been reading you for a year! You've shared so much wisdom and motivation that it seems like we've known each other for much longer.

It feels like joy and enthusiasm help with the calories! At the very least, they make you want to burn more calories. :)

"Painting everyday in my small studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean" - that sounds amazing!! You're living the dream. :)

Thank you for this! I really need to embrace each day, rather than just attempt to get through it and look forward to the weekends! I'm not making the most of 5 out of 7 days I realise now!

Even when I don't have te time to comment, I am reading and being ancouraged by your journey.

I sort of ended up slowly giving up on posting my challenge on Saturdays - Probably because I don't usually get on the computer on weekends much... But I have been trying and I appreciate all the support. Thanks and almost happy anniversary!
