DAY 362 Discoveries

Hello Journal & Friends,

Things I have discovered this week:

I miss my quiet time of contemplation, of reflection.

I have a hard time getting in touch with my truest feelings when I am short of time.

I really enjoy my solitude, during which I can look inward and get honest with myself without repeated interruptions.

I like routine and order, and not getting behind due to overcommitments.

I am totally not ready to skip calorie counting, like I did a couple of days earlier this week. It is a great tool for me, to keep me accountable and aware. I'll probably do it all the way to goal, or at least a LOT closer.

This has been a "learning week" for me. Even though it's been hard--and today and tomorrow is the Yard Sale, therefore the HARDEST two days--it's almost over.

I'll be getting back to my routines come Monday... back to being organized... yay!

I don't LIKE this feeling of helter skelter... of frantically trying to keep up. I miss reading all my favorite blogs. I am thankful that soon it will be peaceful around here.

All in all, I learned more about myself this week. My strengths... my weaknesses. And I learned that I want, I need order and routine, which in turn frees me to have time to do those creative things.

I'm excited to be getting rid of all the stuff...and I'm hoping that the decluttering will be one more step in the right direction.

Change. I've also discovered that change is not so bad after all. :-)

From Dr Phil's book: "The past is over. The future hasn't happened yet. The only time is now."

My verse for today: "Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle."

My quote for today: "It's only on the brink that people find the will to change." --from the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

You are so wise Loretta. You know what you need and you make it happen.

I will keep up the calorie counting..probably for the rest of my life. After a while knowing the calorie counts of things will be second nature. I think of it as taking insulin or any other life saving medication.

It sounds like this week has been helpful. Reevaluating from time to time is a great thing! At the same time, hurr up, Monday!! :)

Hey, WLW!

I did find good info at the seminar and am glad I went. :D Your well-wishes happened. Thanks.

I wrote about it some in tonight's post. I'll add more tomorrow.

And, yes, no matter how much we love our husbands, well, they can be disruptive. Routine and solitude can be good.

Wishing you well with the yard sale. ugh. NOT somehing I ever want to do!

i like organization too, when things are not in order I feel out of control of everything including my diet and exercise. But its inevitable that things dont run smooth 100% of the time so you just gotta roll with it. :-)

I hope that the folks in your neck of the woods have a sudden need to spend money and you have a great sale.

When ever I don't journal my food, count up my calories--forget it. that's when I get off track. today I had 4 grapes, 1 chicken nugget with my planned breakfast of sugar free english muffin and 1/2 ounce of almond butter for a whopping 230 calorie breakfast. The planned breakfast was the muffin / almond butter which would have been 180 calories. I can't cut any slack for myself , because every calorie counts with this body.
