DAY 170 Toon Tuesday Time

Hi Journal & Friends,

Yay, it's my favorite day of the week... Toon Tuesday!

Last week on Toon Tuesday, I mentioned making a toon for my Theme for 2010 (HERE), and showed a sample.

I finally got mine finished! Just for fun, I took pictures of it in progress. First is a rough pencil stage, working out the details (click to enlarge).

Next it's been transferred to nice paper, and I've started inking it in (click to enlarge).

And lastly, here is my finished Theme for 2010, all colorful and purty (click to enlarge).

I would love to see what others have made. They don't have to be fancy, just fun!

From Dr Phil's book: "You make the choices that create your emotional state."

My verse for today: "Happy are the people whose God is the Lord."

My quote for today: "There are always flowers for those who want to see them." --Henri Matisse

Enjoy the Journey,

Oh, man, Loretta! That is amazing!!!! Intricate and beautiful and inspiring. I love art with detail.

I sure hope you framed that and are putting it up somewhere. Thanks for sharing your gift with us. :o)

I thought of you often yesterday and first thing this morning, too. Everytime I felt frustrated that I had an 8 pound gain (2.5 of which are still there) over a 3000 calorie binge, I thought of how painful it must be for you to have a gain--WITHOUT the binge, while staying on program.

Your post response to that gain yesterday helped me stay the course. You were clearly disappointed and frustrated... But you were also clearly determined. Your 2010 theme art is like a banner for your courage, your hope and your faith.

I prayed and am praying, for you and me. One choice at a time--holding God's hand. ANd if that scale doesn't cooperate, I;ll be over to slap it around!

P.S. So glad you picked up your badge.

MARY: Thank you, Mary. So that's why we didn't get to partake of any more sci fi dessert hunks?? You forgot it was Tuesday, LOL!

CINCIMOM: Thanks, Christina. I always love to see the process at other blogs, so thought I'd include it, in case anyone would like that too.

CHRIS: Thank you, Chris. If you ever have time, you can make one of your own. I'd love to see what you come up with.

PAULA: Thank you, I appreciate that. :-)
