DAY 221 Finding the Balance & Honest Scrap Part 4

Hello Journal & Friends!

I'm in the mood for some lightheartedness, so instead of an oh-so-serious post, here is another installment of the Honest Scrap Award.

I think on this journey we need a balance between the serious stuff and the fun stuff. It's a hard balance to find, methinks. One can get TOO serious and almost gloomy all the time, or swing to the opposite side and waste time with meaningless fluff!

Then again, if I'm honest with myself, maybe I just get tired of looking inside of "me" at the junk there! LOL!!

This trip to Healthyville is nothing, if not a Learning Adventure!

Anyway, here is the fourth installment. I was looking forward to this one... it is a sweet memory I'll always treasure!

4. Best Romantic Moment
Made For A Movie

For our 30th wedding anniversary my husband gave me the most romantic surprise of our whole marriage. He planned a nice day together, and we ended up at the park where he had proposed to me 30 years previously.
He led me out on to the little wooden bridge, and stopped. I was puzzled, then I turned and saw a local singer we knew coming out onto the bridge.
Jim had secretly hired him to meet us there, and sing, just for me, one of my all time favorite love songs, by Rod Stewart:  "Have I Told You lately That I Love You". We both had tears... it was the sweetest thing ever.

From Dr Phil's book: "Instinctual Drift: the tendency, under stress, to resort to natural tendencies. Learned behaviors, so overlearned, in fact, that they have become second-nature habits to which you instinctually drift when under stress or pressure."

My verse for today: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

My quote for today: "Every passing minute is a chance to turn it all around." --Tom Cruise, in Vanilla Sky

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta
