Skeeters an' Gators!

Hidy Ho Journal & Friends,

What a weird week!

My step-dad used to say...

"If the skeeters don't get ya,
then the gators will!"

Need to skip the face spackle til my eye gets better. This is day two of Vampire Eyes. :-O

Don't look if you have a weak stomach... LOL!

PS: I've had these before, though not as dramatic, and they say there is nothing to do but let it fade. Guess I'll go to church Sunday like a movie star, wearing shades!

From Dr Phil's book: "I want you to choose to feel very calm and very relaxed. Get up each morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and see yourself as the someone you will become, a person with a greater level of dignity and worth..." (right now it's cracking me up to look into the mirror!)

My verse for today: "But I trust in you, O Lord; I say "You are my God." My times are in your hands."

My quote for today: "Remember this: your body is your slave; it works for you."  --Jack LaLanne

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

I hope it gets better soon. I have had that happen a couple of times, years ago. It takes a while to fade. Take care.

Hey, Loretta. Love your daddy's old sayin' - brings back memories of when I was a kid and my daddy would tell us when we were being less than angels, that if we didn't settle down he was going to take to the river and use us for 'gator bait! LOL

Sorry about the "vampire eye" - those little busted blood vessels are a pin in that patootie. My husband gets them on occassion and you do just have to let them fade. The last time he got one, was the day before we had to have our passport photos taken. Needless to say he hates his passport photo!

Love your blog and am following along on your journey while trying to make my own. One step at a time for both us us, eh?

Skeeters and gators...definitely don't like skeeters, but I guess gators are worse (lol). I remember when both my brothers eyes were red like that (the entirety of the whites). He thought it was funny 'cuz he would scare people, but of course, he's a guy. You still have beautiful blues there.

Bravo to you for going to church anyway, even if you'll be wearing dark glasses.

Good luck healing. Does it look worse than it feels?

Thanks for such kind words on my blog, Loretta. I'm glad I'm playing a small part in your journey!

You definitely don't have to be an athlete to learn from, and make translate into your life.

I've had those before, too. They look hideous but, from what I'm told, they're harmless.

You are truly an inspiration. Keep up the good work. It seems like you're almost halfway there.

What happened?

Go to church with those Cool Shades on, girl!

...or as the ZZ Top song says, Cheap Sunglasses!

Hope your eye improves quickly. I am sure you rocked the movie star look at church!

Lordy! Maybe I can use that in creating aliens. Hope it doesn't hurt. Get better!

And I hope you had a really good day yesterday greeting and at church.
