DAY 434 Lukewarm Hottie Update

Hello Journal & Friends,

Time for my Hot 100 Update.

Not so eager to fess up on this update... this Hottie wasn't so hot this week!

My goals for the Hot 100 are:

1. Stay within my Calorie Budget (1600/day for 6 days/wk & 1800/day 1day/wk).
Did okay til... I ate... the WHOLE THING!

Yep, I ate the whole can of spam all by myself. And not even all fancified, like Sushi Spam:

No... turn away now if you are squeamish... I ate it cold, plopped right out of the can onto a little plate. All of it. Sigh...

For all the attention I paid, it might as well have been cat food!

What do they call the OPPOSITE of mindful eating??!!

2.  Exercise 6 days/week.
Bombed out here, too. Was in a stupor all week til Wednesday afternoon from the pain meds. Switched to something lighter, so as soon as it doesn't hurt to get my pulse racing, I want to get moving again.

3.  Take my Vitamins EVERY day.
Hit and miss. I think I just gave up since Monday. Half the time I wasn't eating at regular mealtime, and the other half I wasn't hungry. And the OTHER half, I was eating Spam! ;-)

And I am UNofficially shooting to be out of the 300's and into the Two-sies by the end of the year... a place I have not been in 27 years!!! I am going to be sooo excited when that happens!

And to make that happen, I need to get back in the saddle again!!

Today's Peek at the Past (You gotta be kidding me!! I am feeling all whiny, and naturally THIS past post has to be about...attitude! Aarrrggghhhh!)

From Day 73, October 21, 2009:
Forget my post, just watch this video I posted last year and you'll get the message:

From Dr Phil's book: "Don't just wake up every morning and react to what happens... Be proactive by setting goals and making plans for their attainment."

My verse for today: "Be still, and know that I am God."

Enjoy the Journey,

Well, just get back in the saddle and start riding again!!!

BTW, spam would not tempt me in the least, I really don't like it at all, as far as I'm concerned, it IS like cat food! (not that I've actually tasted cat food, but I've smelled it, and spam smells about the same.)

I don't get the spam attraction. Hubby loves it, and will often eat it (one pouch, not can) or salmon-in-a-pouch with crackers for breakfast. I hate the smell even.

You'll do better on your goals next week. So will I. Vee at http://veegettinghealthy.blogspot.com

Ya, what is it about food that makes us do that? I do the same thing, with food that isn't even that good!!! Why is it that we just want to eat. I don't get it either. But I've been stuck in it. Not necessarly gorging on big macs but still overeating, even on healthy stuff, it's still overeating.

Don't feel bad, it happens. I too haven't been doing very good this week...sigh.

Lets forgot about it and move one...we can do it =)

Give yourself a little slack. you're dealing with something you havent before on this journey. These sorts of things are infrequent [thank goodness] and you're already wanting to go back. That's a great sign.

Feel better. Hugs

Aww, Loretta, you were stressed in atniciaption of your surgery--then you were liced and diced and filled with chemicals and...Uh-hmm...and SPAM. chuckle.

My week wasn't so good either. BUT we ARE going to do this thing. We are!

Those goals better look out this week!

On behalf of Spam eaters everywhere - I must add -
I love it - I'm having Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam,
Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, garnished with....
wait for it....
Green beans!

That saddle will still be there tomorrow.
Let's camp out here for the time being!

i knew i'd seen that bacon spam somewhere; turns out my dad bought a can of it once! (although, i don't think he made sushi spam out of it, either.) :)

Spam, not my fav except when camping in the BWCA, then it's good over the fire.
You can do this Loretta, I know you can. Just keep going and keep it up.
I so love stopping by and reading what's happening in your life. So Cool!!!
Now take care, have a great day and God Bless!!!

I don't even know what SPAM is (is this an American thing perhaps?) but judging by the comments....Oh Loretta! ha ha ha. I'm sorry to laugh. I'm not even sure what to say - it could have been worse? (than cat food?). At least the binge wasn't a huge sugary-thing (I'm guessing here, but the word 'bacon' was on the can).

We've all blown a day (or week) here or there on this journey. I did last weekend as well. I know you'll be back in the ring in no time!

Well you've had the week, it's over, NOW is a great time to make different choices. Next week will be much better! Make it so Loretta!

The opposite of mindful eating...eating cold bacon spam. :)

Hey - it happens. Mine was Halloween candy until my tummy felt like it was going to burst.

Guess we're just a work in progress.

I LOVE Louie C.K. That's a great clip. I'm so glad you shared it.
I had a less than stellar week too... But isn't that the beauty of a new week to achieve all we want to?
I'll be rooting for you.
