DAY 420 Hottie Update & Choices

Hi Journal & Friends,

Time for Hot 100 Update #2!

Steve's  Hot 100 Challenge started on Thursday, September 23rd, and lasts 100 days til the end of 2010.

I've picked Thursdays for my Hot 100 updates.

Okay, here are my goals for the Hot 100:

1. Stay within my Calorie Budget (1600/day for 6 days/wk & 1800/day 1day/wk).
Hey, I did better this week...Yay! Didn't struggle as much.

2.  Exercise 6 days/week.
Did better here, too. I'm trying out a new thing with the rebounder, an idea I got from reading about Steve's experience with Tabata. I'll post about it sometime, once I decide if it is effective. So far... I'm liking it!:-)

3.  Take my Vitamins EVERY day.
Better here, too. I take 2 kinds; some are pills, and some are liquid. I did great with the pills. Need to be more consistent with the liquid (which I admit is a hassle to measure out).

And I am UNofficially shooting to be out of the 300's and into the Two-sies by the end of the year... a place I have not been in 27 years!!!

I put up a little sign on my computer to read every day, and I am trying to "see" it as I say it:

I'm so glad I joined the challenge. I am trying to make the rounds, and visit new Hotties, which has been fun. There are some amazing Hotties out there! Everyone has a Story, and the variation is fascinating.

We're in this together!

Today's Peek at the Past (This was great for me to read in conjunction with the Challenge!)

From Day 60, October 8, 2009:

In Dr Phil McGraw's book "The Ultimate Weight Solution" he says this: "Choose the behavior, choose the consequences." I used to fuss over this...I would argue that I am NOT choosing to be fat. But now I see what he is trying to say. If I CHOOSE THE BEHAVIOR, then I must accept the responsibility for the CONSEQUENCES that result from that behavior I chose.

EVERY CHOICE MATTERS

EVERY CHOICE IS
AN IMPORTANT CHOICE

EVERY CHOICE HAS A CONSEQUENCE

(For complete post "Every Choice Matters" click HERE
We are not puppets... we have been given the power to choose.

From Dr Phil's book: "You succeed because you make the right choices, you choose the right attitude, and you enact the right behavior to generate the right results."

My verse for today: "If God is for us, who can be against us?"

My quote for today: "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." --T.S. Eliott

Enjoy the Journey,

:D Great post! I'm going to try to remind myself--when I want that gluten!--that if I make that choice, I am also choosing to lessen my chances of hitting my 100 pounds lost goal (152) by 1/1/11.

Sometimes in my desire for the drug, I kind of shrug off what that choice actually means.

Oh. I'm willing to take responsibility for the choice, willing to say that I did it and it was unneccessary, but thinking thru the consequences? Not so much.

Thanks for that. :)

Loved the tiny kitties!

I love that you added in the vitamins Loretta

too often we fitness blogger peeps (and by we I do mean I) can get accidentally caught up in the EXERCISE AND EATING!!!!! and forget about the vitamins and the reasons we are doing this (live longer:))
ok
by we...I mean I.

tell me you sometimes forget the vitamins too :)

Miz.

Way to go, Loretta! Thank you so much for recommending the challenge. I wish I could spend more time looking at all the blogs, but I've already found inspiration in just the few I've been able to visit.

Great image for the new year! Can't wait to SEE it happen! Love you!

I am anxious to read about your new exercise. I am a real fan of tabata. It is tough though.
