DAY 342 Short & Sweet Saturday

Hi Journal & Friends,

Last night was tough... today is mo' bettah!

Had a case of the Poor Me's... over it now. Pity parties may feel good in the moment, but only strengthen the negatives, and don't get me anywhere. I detest them! So, done with that noise! I might talk about it later, might not. Shrug.

Today... I choose to look forward.

Today is going to be my first
Short & Sweet Saturday!

After I read a post written by Dayne at Coach Your Mind, I've been asking myself three questions most mornings:

1. How can I grow?
2. How can I give?
3. What can I celebrate?

Today, I grow by making time to ask--and answer--some hard questions of myself, having to do with time priorities (I'll talk about that later).

Today, I will give verbal appreciation to someone I care about (yes, Jim).

Today, I celebrate the feeling of anticipation and excitement that comes from taking actions that cause fear to evaporate (I'll talk about that later, too).

If you have time, I highly recommend Dayne's post on this topic (HERE).

From Dr Phil's book: "You talk to yourself more than everybody else in your life combined."

My verse for today: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged."

My quote for today: "We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out." --Ray Bradbury

Enjoy the Journey,

Loretta

:) Hahaha. Methinks the leaping girl has gone well beyond the "cautiously optimistic" phase and has lept full on into faith! :D

You go, leaping girl!

For freedom,

Deb

Thanks for link to Dayne's great blog! I'd never been there before. And Dr. Phil's quote...excellent. Great point that my own voice is the one I hear most often...best to keep it positive.

I'm glad you're feeling better today...we all go through funky times, but they pass quickly if we let them!

Ah the pity parties, I know them well (I used to live one 24/7 a long time agon). I think it is unavoidable sometimes but as long as you can recognize it and know when it's time to go, you're good.
