Yep, moderation. Not in all things ( a moderate amount of arsenic will still kill ya) but in the healthy things. That's what I'm working on. :-)Rettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10034267067410245582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308288649463011906.post-89632230701568543612012-02-21T18:18:40.652-08:002012-02-21T18:18:40.652-08:00I've been gluten, wheat, flour and dairy free ...I've been gluten, wheat, flour and dairy free for 5 months ... the weight is coming off steady ... but more important ... I have my health back. But it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. Turns out I'm rather intolerant.
Glad to hear you're keeping your portions under control. Moderation for most people is key.Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00841951459550135685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308288649463011906.post-74895229663009742582012-02-21T07:35:36.176-08:002012-02-21T07:35:36.176-08:00I think you hit the Bacon Jackpot!

I don't think anything should be off the table really...somethings should be limited...mostly white flour and white sugar...there is not reason for either of those...they contain no real vitamins or minerals or fiber or really any nutrition whatsoever...whole grains are much better.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13708815560712267698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308288649463011906.post-25429900351175159672012-02-20T14:30:24.035-08:002012-02-20T14:30:24.035-08:00Yummy bacon! If you have any kind of kidney damage, as I do, eating a lot of protein is not the way to go. I did Atkins for two weeks a couple years ago and was soooooo tired by the end. Yes, I lost, but it just wasn't the best thing for me. My kidneys work at 53% only. I just have to keep my mind on portion control and eating whole wheat whenever possible.

Thanks for the info and keep up the good work!Niecyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15082180872736153090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-308288649463011906.post-47419211319585734452012-02-19T09:23:10.613-08:002012-02-19T09:23:10.613-08:00LOL ~ I'm guessing you like bacon? And then I was embarrassed and was going to give it as a gag gift. But somehow it turned out that I shared it with my friend and her dad who was in Hospice as part of a giggly night with whiskey soaked egg nog. The whole bar was 70 calories. It was such an experience to share it that way and it turned out to be a very delicate and gourmet treat. Bacon and chocolate, who knew?PJ Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16550278783075004470noreply@blogger.com
